30s/40s Pumps

Storing more than 5 gallson of flammable liquid above ground (such as in the visible type pump) was illegal throughout most states even in the 20s. The answer for more reasons than that was a mechanical metered pump. Along came the “dial” type pump (commonly referred to as the clock face) due to its obvious resemblance. You reset it to zero and use the trigger type nozzle to “filler up.” This type was used from the 30s till sometime in the 40s. As see in the pictures, it still has a price sign on it as the dial would calculate only the gallons delivered.

Please note that some of the pictures here are of earlier pums we built and do not have any trim on the corners. We now build all face pumps with a polished look corner trim.

A typical pump costs $1150.99 plus shipping.
